IKEA proposes the “Escape Curtain”, a flame-retardant shower curtain that can be torn into rope, includes visual knot-tying guidance, and uses a built-in carabiner for emergency descent. It will be placed in lodging facilities and showcased in stores to prove that everyday design can function as a life-saving tool.
